5. Desktop Cradle Kit for Apple iPhone
Can’t find your iPhone? Oh wait! It’s in the cradle on your clean desk.

6. Torre Tagus Retro Clock
The High Straightenence person loves numbers. This clock will please them. Trust me.

7.  Scotch Thermal Laminator Roller System
Think of all the possibilities!! This has been on my wishlist for YEARS. I fear that if I have one, I’ll laminate EVERYTHING. But hey, is that really a bad thing? First project to make? PLACE MATS. You think I’m kidding? I’m not kidding.

8. Wee Gallery Mobile, by Kikkerland
Have photos to display, but no wall space or surfaces to do so? Make a hanging mobile! It could also pose as a reminder mobile or a fantastic cat toy.

1. The Happiness Project, by Gretchen Rubin
The Happiness Project starts with a resolution to de-clutter your life. This book is a game changer! It’s changing my game.

2. Fine Point Sharpies
High Straightenence people loooove their Sharpies. It’s cuz we take the art of handwriting seriously. Sharpies are perfect for list making, card writing, note taking, address labeling, YOU NAME IT!

3. Listography Calendar
A calendar that encourages list-making! Track your year with lists! Hallelujah!

4. Fellowes Powershred Cross-Cut Paper Shredder
The paper lover needs a shredder; it’s a given. It’s a good way to balance it all out. This one cross cuts for extra security. Neat!

5. Moleskine Weekly Calendar
This is my most favorite kind of calendar. Even though I have high hopes of doing my calendar managing online, I still seem to go back to a paper calendar EVERY YEAR. I’m a paper lover…what can I say?

6. Smead Poly Color Envelopes
I can’t tell you how handy these are. If I’m working on a project, I throw everything in one of these envelopes & take it on the go. The best part is that they’re clear and colored. You can designate certain colors to specific projects so you know what to grab easily.

7. Small Object Labels & Stickers
Cute stickers & labels make the world go round. Am I right?

8. Moleskine Classic Ruled Notebook
Perfect for list making on the go. I always keep one in my purse because you never know when you’ll feel inspired.

Need to make a note? Try these Sukie Sticky Notes. I feel like a task on a sticky seems less daunting when there’s a cute squirrel chilling on it.

10. ALL OUT OF Notepad
This notepad saved my life in 2011. You can mark all the grocery items you need & bring it with you while you’re shopping. I always keep a few blank sheets in my bag for when I need to make a grocery list on the fly.

11. The Book of Awesome, by Neil Pasricha
Life can be rough. This book will help remind you of the awesome things in life, like popping bubble wrap & the other side of the pillow. It’s funny. It’s true. You’ll like it.

Great gift guide! I just bought both #11 and #12, with gift certificate money from my birthday that I still had. Bought them used too to make my money go a little further.

It’s true. I totally geek out over all office supplies, but you can’t beat sharpies and a good pair of scissors. You wouldn’t think someone would get excited over new pens, but I totally do. Office Depot excites me almost as much as Sur La Table.

You guys are a hoot! Great list and great time listening to your girls. Seriously. I spend all day with my toddler-man and listening to you guys is like a coffee break in my head. :)

I’ve been in love with office supplies since middle school; it’s kind of sad. I love moleskin notebooks and I need that flip clock!

The third day of a new school year was always my favorite because that was the day that my mom and I went shopping for school supplies. I was obsessed with all of my new pens, mechanical pencils and notepads. Totally weird! P.S. That receipt scanner would change my life.

I love them all!! My favorite part of school was also the shopping for school supplies and organizing them in my fun back pack!! So, much fun!!

Awesome gift guide Tracy! I’ve now discovered a whole plethora of items to add to my wishlist and some ideas for my friends (love the happiness project book).

I am in LOVE with my moleskin weekly calender. I’ve been buying them for the past 3 years and I’ve bought a new limited edition cover art one for myself for 2012 that I’m dying to use. It saves my life.

  • Shila December 15, 2011 at 2:54 pm

I have a desperate crush on this list. I want to bake it cookies, buy it a drink, and wink at it mercilessly. Until it notices me, however, I will satisfy myself by drooling over and buying myself presents such as the lovely papery goods on list #2.

Especially the scissors. Because you’re so right, I can always use another pair.

I’m a hardcore paper lover…these gifts made me giddy!!

I use #2, the sharpies ALL THE TIME. Seriously my favorite kind of pen. And #10, “All Out Of” notepad is PERFECT. I’ve never seen those before and they would do me wonders–if I step into a grocery store without my list, my mind goes blank and I start wondering, “Umm..what did I come in here for again?”

    Thanks for a great post!

You are amazing, thank you! Still hunting for Christmas presents, and I never know what to get my sister because she is so type-a. And clearly I am not. She’s also obsessed with stationary… every item on list 2 would be absolutely perfect for her. Thank you for keeping me entertained as well as making my life so much easier! Love this new blog!
