Laundry. Oooooh Laundry.
I’m about to air my dirty laundry here. You ready? OK!
So, I only like putting clothes into the washing machine and washing them. I do not like sorting them out to wash, folding them OR putting them away. Buuuuut! The way it works in our household is that I am the laundry doer. Which means I’m kinda screwed.
I’ve been thinking about Maintenance lately. Not the high mai/ low mai we talked about on the Joy the Baker podcast recently. The kind of maintenance that we all encounter. The real stuff like… keeping a home, keeping a life, raising a child, doing chores, maintaining relationships… Continue reading
We did it. WE MOVED. Insert big sigh here _________.
I was gearing up to post more packing tips, but my head is TOTALLY not there right now. I’m EXHAUSTED and my stuff is all in boxes sitting in a Pod in the driveway at the new place. Did we discuss how we’re buying the house I grew up in? My parents built this house almost 36 years ago which means there’s 36 years worth of stuff to get rid of. Oh boy. My parents haven’t lived in this house full time for awhile so a lot of things haven’t been touched in a looooong time.
You can always tell how busy/lazy I’ve been if you look in my fridge. It’s easy to get distracted while working in the kitchen, and before you know it you have a HUGE mess to clean up.
Today I’m going to give you my tips & tricks on how to stay organized while cooking & baking!
Hello! I’m a little bit in limbo right now with all of the projects that I have going on in the house. We’re still trying to make room for our stuff while we move my parent’s stuff. I’ve found that doing little projects around the house and tidying things up makes me feel really good. It’s been a slow process, but I’m taking the time to really figure out the space and the best ways to manage our stuff. There’s a small desk in the kitchen that has always been a clutter magnet. When I unpacked the kitchen, I put everything that came from our junk drawer and put it on this desk. It’s been overcrowded.
