This week on the Joy the Baker Podcast, things get WEIRD.  I know we’ve said this before… but we mean it now more than ever.

This week we’re playing another rousing game of Would You Rather.  This time around it’s the Summer Edition.  With mention of jelly fish stings, shark tanks, and hot tubs filled with warm chili and strange men… yea… it’s WEIRD.

Would you rather date a dude that rides a unicycle or date a dude that ride a skateboard with a paddle?  Both?

Would you rather train a shoulder cat or train a shoulder parrot?  ps.  Shoulder cat is always the answer.

Look what you made me do?

Does peeing on jellyfish stings really work?

Let’s hang out in a shark tank.

Don’t look at me like I’m dinner, SHARK.

  1. Since you both know how WEIRD I am, it will not surprise you to know that a) I laughed so hard I couldn’t breathe and b) This is one of my favorite episodes ever. Cannot even deal. Well-played, friends.

  2. Joy, it made my day when you called me Libs. The only person who calls me that is my bff/sister-in-law and I totally give you all of the permissions to call me that.
And (primarily) Tracy, thank you so much for taking my question. I knew there were things that I hadn’t considered yet. Also, bless you bless you for encouraging the putting on of a ring. Ima ask my dude listen to your advice with me.
I love you guys so much. You really brighten up my weeks. Thanks for everything you do.

HOORAY!!!! Thank you for writing it. Thank you for being cool with us repeating your name a bunch of times!

  3. Also, I’d rather be the pee-er than the pee-ee. To have to get stung by a jelly fish and THEN have to get peed on? I mean that’s just a bummer day for all involved.

I’ve lived with my lovely man for 2 years now, and I can’t recommend having two bathrooms enough! Even if it’s just a half bath–it’s well worth it!

      • You guys, I’m not even kidding. We went to look at a place over the weekend and when I happened upon the SECOND BATHROOM, I died laughing. This must be the one!

  5. Oh, wow.. I’m only about 10 minutes in and there’s R Kelly references abound. Amazing.

    Drip drip.

You girls made my day! Thank you so much for the amazing anniversary shout out… Second best day of my life (other than the day I said “YES” to marrying my best friend). Thank you joy! Thank you Tracy!

P.S. We do live together, and we only have one tiny bathroom.
P.P.S. We may have to play this podcast on our wedding day!

    Love you guys!

I was attacked by a parrot in 8th grade, it tore up my hand with it’s freakishly strong beak, the last time I came into contact with one was 10 years ago and I instantly broke into tears, to this day at the age of 30 I make every effort to keep a distance of at least 20 feet…plus who wants to get mistaken for a pirate captain? Shoulder cats all the way!
Peeing on jellyfish stings does help, but vinegar does too! That’s another long story..

  8. Joy & Tracy, I just finished my Master’s degree (weird…and not a humble brag!), and I’m celebrating by listening to your podcast and eating cheddar peppers. Thanks for enriching my life!

  9. this was actually out of control. I took notes, and plan on kicking up my ‘would you rather’ version to friends REAL QUICK. hilarious, as always.

  10. Um Joy, if your beach bag is anything like your purse you wouldn’t need to pee on a jellyfish sting. You’d probably have baking soda OR vinegar in there (HA JTB’s real superpower)! Loved the podcast as always, especially the ‘weird’ dialogue :)

  11. That is so funny that you had a “bird experience” in college, I did too! I lived in my first apartment alone and my landlady who was in the apartment next door had a crazy parrot that I could hear through the wall all the time. Bird ladies are weird, definitely go with shoulder cat!

  12. Loved this podcast so much!!! When you asked the would you rather question about watching your parents have sex, I almost choked. I was out walking my dog and I thought I was seriously going to have to sit on the curb to calm down! You guys are awesome!

  13. Hey ladies! Wanted to share a link to your listener, Sarah who wrote in about changing jobs/not.
They are helping people make big, and small decisions in life. Thought it might help her. And others.
Also, laughed so hard at this episode. And just so you know this was the first episode I listened too. And I’m going back into the archives to listen to more, you hooked me.

  14. This episode had me laughing like a maniac as I took my lunch break walk (humble brag) through a local park. Oh my…
