In this episode Joy and Tracy talk about camera equipment, lighting, where they get their eclectic props, and why Joy never likes to color coordinate. The two also talk about turning 30… and how not to freak out, and talk at length about… Easter Candy.
Fancy camera talk meets real candy talk. What else would you expect?
a. Joy’s Canon Rebel with a 50mm 1.4 lens. Joy now shoots with a Canon 5D and a 24-105mm lens. Tracy uses a Canon 40D with a Tamron 17-35mm wide angle lens.
b. Tracy is obsessed with this black and blue plate of Joy’s.
c. Joy is totally into these darling linens from Picking Daisies in San Luis Obispo.
d. Tracy likes her new cutting board from Bobby Flay… it’s just that she always crops BF out of the frame. Oh Bobby… you kidder.
e. Roasted Garlic Soup and ramblings about Jerry Maguire.
f. Hot Cross Biscuits. New. Different. Done.
g. Tracy’s Easter Cake with meringue, chocolate nests, and edible candy grass.

“There’s just something about him…you just wanna give him a noogie. Like, a hard one. All the time.”
And…cue laughing in my apartment. Alone. Tears-and-laughter.
You are my Pioneer Woman (aka let’s be bffs).

Just when I think I might be the only one in the world who has a website and doesn’t use a tripod…there’s you girls to make me feel allllll-rite! Fun, fun, fun…I go around telling my girlfrends “you gotta listen to this podcast!!” And I think it was the second podcast where you called out all the “lurkers” to step up. So see…I’m posting and no longer a lurker! Yes, you’ve transformed my cybermanners. Keep it up Joy and Tracy!
joythebaker June 12, 2011 at 4:52 pm

I’m so happy to have found your podcast. You did a great job with the first one, and it was just the kind of camera info I wanted to know. Now, if I could only find Katie8 on the web.
Looking forward to listening to all the others while on the treadmill.

Just listened to this in my quest to get through all your episodes that I have missed – I can’t believe I have to wait until April to cure my own peeps! Additionally, I’ve found that Urban Outfitters is also a great place for cools dishes on sale – I just got some good bowls 4 for $16.
