This episode is a bit different from the usual fare—we’ve got Lisa Byrne of The Well-Grounded Life, and she and Tsh are talking BUSINESS. They both get asked all the time how they make money online, so in this episode, they spill (some of the) beans.

Lisa teaches e-courses and workshops, is a health coach, has a cookbook in conjunction with a workshop, and sells her wisdom and advice through each of these.

Tsh runs a six-site blog network and writes one of those blogs, writes books, and of course, has this podcast.
Two totally different methods, both on the Internet, both successful. Holla!
Some of Lisa’s favorite work tools:
Some of Tsh’s favorite work tools:
- Canon 40D
- Canon 50mm lens
- Google Calendar
- Gmail
- Lightroom
- Picmonkey
- Photoshop (though she has the really old version, hence the Lightroom)
- Skype
- WordPress
If you’re interested in hearing more about the specifics of how Tsh monetizes her stuff, listen to her recent conversation with Darren Rowse of ProBlogger.
Starting soon this podcast is getting a little facelift, so get excited! Same conversations, same grownup time, slightly different look and feel. Be looking for it!

Hi Tsh!
Great podcast!
I was wondering if you would be able to post links to some of the monetization tools and companies you use or spoke about in the podcast. Also, what was that mail program that you think is a good replacement for Feedburner again? I couldn’t catch what you called it. Thanks!

Oooh, I love this subject!
I strive to make my web design business a lifestyle business – my business works for ME, as a young mom with a young child, not the other way around.
And, you know, the VAST majority of my business comes from blog readers – so I guess that’s another form of monetization!
