Tsh and Myquillyn are together, talking about the weirdness that is their names. (At least Myquillin has a normal last name…)
She recently revealed her name, and… everything’s fine. (And then wrote about being debt-free!)
Myquillyn likes a post Tsh wrote last year about going to see Brave. She also wrote about her day in the life. And the logistics of her book writing—parts one and two.
Myquillyn is the queen of plate hanging.
She has a boy with a permit! Amazing.
Some of their favorite (for the past week) blogs…
The Handmade Home:
The Hunted Interior:
One Hundred Dollars a Month:
Nom Nom Paleo:
Flower Patch Farmgirl:
And we accidentally called her Shauna. She’s Shannon. Shannon. We knew that. Sorry, Shannon!
Tsh is using Feedly—it’s easy-peasy! She’ll write a post about it soon.
…And Myquillyn’s finally a grownup and wearing lipstick!
Tsh is still using boring lanolin.
What kind of lip stuff do you like? What blogs are you in to these days? And do you have a weird name? Tell us below!
Lanolin always, always, always makes me think of Anchorman.
Calling you Shauna = I immediately regret this decision.
It was my fault, I yelled out “Shauna!” it just felt right! Plus, I’ve been spelling her real name anyway, it’s got an A. mercy.
shauna!!! hysterical. makes me feel less bad about calling people wrong names. if tsh and myquillyn can do it then i can too.
Yall kill me. I totally get the drama with the deoderant and getting immune to it. It’s the worst when you feel obligated to finish the stick, yet it’s doing nothing for you. Also been thinking a lot lately about not wanting to be unrecognizable without makeup. Thanks for the fun time.
Know what you mean about that obligation…
I listened to this podcast while washing my kitchen floor and laughed so many times. So refreshing and real and just fun. I just use Burt’s Bees lip gloss, its as grownup as I am right now. And my name practically always gets spelt with an ‘i’.
And I’m checking out the blogs you all mentioned. =)
I thought I was the ONLY ONE who used lanolin. I’m like the dad from My Big Fat Greek Wedding is to Windex as I am to Lanolin. Have a scab? Lanolin. Chapped skin? Lanolin. Giant gash? Lanolin. Probably not. But Anyway.. love it. Love the pod cast. And love Shannan. ;}
My mom is that way with Coconut oil, cooks with it, uses it for every thing. I had ringworm on my wrist (long story that involved one of those boxing workout places) and she put coconut oil on it when she saw it.
I’m that way about coconut oil, too. Reminds me of that dad in My Big Fat Greek Wedding about Windex.
Tsh! these podcasts keep getting better and better. i listen every week! oh and the business lady talk is NOT boring. i eat it up!
Fun show, ladies! “Shauna” should co-host sometime!
Hilarious! I was driving while listening and thinking about how I drive with my HAND at 8 and then Tsh said it. So awesome. Loved this podcast, ladies!
So fun! I had a blast listening to it when I run. The miles seem to fly by. Love Revlon l/s, especially the Lip Butters, like “Berry Smoothie” and “Juicy Papaya.” Also try some l/s from MAC, like the cremesheen tubes. No sticky feeling there. A well-formulated, flattering shade of l/s will go a long way…on so many levels. (oh, and I adore my lanolin. Thanks for that tip, Tsh!)
Since lipstick is new to you, I thought I’d share my make-up tip, from a mom of two with a third arriving in a few weeks. I wanted to feel special, but w/o all the make-up, and discovered “BB cream” (Body balm). It’s like a tinted moisturizer, but waaaay better. I use Maybelliene but Better Homes and Gardens just gave Garnier a thumbs up as well.
Can I give a shout-out for Nom Nom Paleo?! My hubby and I are trying the Whole30 right now and I found her blog and love it. She’s actually a “neighbor” here in the Bay Area – maybe I’ll run into her?! I’ve made a few of her recipes and they are so delish and easy. You’re right, Tsh, eating this way IS great – the food is tasty and I feel good (today is day 14).
Thanks, ladies, for keeping me company while I laundered and swept!
Love Nom Nom Paleo! My fave go-to paleo blog.
So, I’m a little behind and just now listened to this podcast… had to chime in with I LOVE feedly! Changed my life. I love how I can organize my blogs by topic and the look and feel of the reader. Thanks for the plate hanging tips too! You guys are adorable!
Somehow I just discovered these podcasts! Always late to the game ;). I started with the Nester and Emily one and have made my way through a few-love them all. Anyway, I love the weather discussions (don’t I sound super fun!?) because I’m a Californian who has been transplanted to the East and the way people talk about the weather makes me lose my mind. I think wherever you’re from is “normal” and it’s so hard to embrace a different “normal”. Also, Tsh mentioned in a different podcast that Oregon feels far from things-I think she said everyone lives in the east or everything happens there-something like that. I feel like everything happens in the west. Hysterical. Anyway, this was a super long way of saying that I felt a little less homesick today knowing that people all over the US are wishing they were on the other side. Ha. Okay, maybe only me and Tsh-but still! Thanks!
