This week, Andy, Greg and Nathan are talking turkey… or lack thereof! Thanksgiving Unconventional: call it T-Gives!

Planning A Vegetarian T-Gives

Andy talks about his epic vegetarian Thanksgiving. No tofurkey to be found here, just honest to gourmet veggie goodness packed with T-Gives flavors.

Phyllo purses and fried cranberries, oh my!

Think Thanksgiving is all about being cozy at home? Think again!

Greg has T-gives’d at Yosemite.

Andy went to Maine.

And then the following year to Amsterdam!

But let’s get serious for a moment. At home or abroad, T-Gives is really all about the food!

We want to mix things up! Braised turkey instead of roasted? Or how about turkey tacos, empenadas or turkey molé?!?

Turkey

If you have to do the traditional, then how about some fun new side dishes for your table?

Cranberry persimmon sauce? Whoa!

Carrot-topped pumpkin tarts? Adorbs!

Carrot Tarts

Nathan share’s his favorite traditional family food: Raised Dumplings (Knedliky)!

Chorizo brussels sprouts, beer brussels sprouts, and even raw brussels sprouts!

Shaved Brussels Sprouts Salad

Hope you saved room for dessert, ’cause it’s time for pie!

Pumpkin with coconut milk? Familiar yet exotic!

Texas Chocolate Pie? Uh, huh!

Texas Pecan Pie

Triple Chocolate Pumpkin Tart with Pecan Crust? Yes please!

Or skip the pie all together and go for ice cream!

Vegan Pumpkin Ice Cream

Maybe instead of wine this year, have yourself a nice crisp T-Gives beer. Greg is looking for a good IPA.

Of course, Nathan has got you covered with fun punch too.

Now you’re either real hungry or ready to take a nap!

We’d love to hear from you! Share your conventional or unconventional T-Gives ideas and stories in the comments below.

Wow – these photos are amazing, am going to listen to this episode now!
I’m very curious about each of your backgrounds – how you got into cooking/parties? Also, I would love to hear some of your ‘What Not To Do’ for parties from your past experiences of things that didn’t work out as planned?

Jerilyn, that’s so funny – we JUST brought up the idea of party disasters last week! So watch for that topic in the future on The Table Set…
You may notice that many of our links routinely go back to three sites – our respective food blogs, where you can definitely get to know us each a little better individually!
