I am a master of the traditional British-style afternoon tea (and a big fan of Greg’s), so this is one podcast I just had to listen to! I so enjoyed hearing their views on afternoon tea, such as “Tea parties are serious even if they’re frivolous” and “No matter how modern or coed, it can still be dainty.” I’ve enjoyed afternoon tea all my life and introduced it to my friends, who then began to give afternoon tea parties themselves. The suggestions about finding ways to fit tea parties into one’s life were wonderful and will, I hope, inspire more people to do it, and more often.

Greg, it was such fun listening to your podcast on one of my own personal favorite topics – tea parties. I’m a master of the traditional British-style afternoon tea and, of course, a big fan of yours, so this was one podcast I just had to listen to! I was afraid 35 minutes was going to be too much for me to listen to sitting at my computer, but it really wasn’t. I loved the beverages you discussed. A tea party *must* (IMHO) have a black tea, but I also serve a tisane at the same time. The alcohol comes out at about the halfway point, in the form of Champagne, sherry or a refreshing cocktail. Your cocktail looks lovely!

We recently threw a Mad Hatter themed tea party for a friend’s bridal shower. We had a variety of finger foods (bite sized caprese, cucumber bites, turkey sandwhiches, etc) and a white tea sangria. We gossiped, partied, and had a great time! I can’t wait for our next tea party! Thanks for the totes awesome ideas!

[...] and smoked trout would hold up the best, so those came first. Inspiration from these came from the Table Set Podcast, and I followed this recipe somewhat (I used tofu sour cream instead of cream cheese/sour cream, [...]

Amazing as always…but no mention of clotted cream? AKA mana from heaven, fruit of the gods, and the BEST part of tea? Hopefully in another ep soon. :)
